Country Music Rots Your Car Seats, Claims Upholstery Expert

“Don’t play loud country music while you drive; it’ll rot your seats!”  That’s the message upholstery expert Topper Wang is trying to send to as many vehicle owners as he can.

If you're going to play country music, keep the volume and the windows down, warns upholstery expert Topper Wang

For those who simply must play country music, upholstery expert Topper Wang has this advice:  keep the volume down, open the windows, and turn on the fan.

“People come into my shop in tears because their seats are all shot to hell, and I know right away they’re country music fans,” said Wang. “Even blasting Insane Clown Posse doesn’t cause that much damage.”

Asked why country music is more harmful to upholstery than other musical styles, Wang replied, “I don’t know for sure, but I suspect it’s all that twangy stuff and nasally voices and fiddles and whatnot.  Whatever the cause, you might as well throw acid on your seats.”

You’ve been warned, partner.
