First Photo! Borla’s New Faux Exhaust System for Tesla
It doesn’t do anything, but it sure looks great. We’re talking about Borla’s new fake exhaust system for Tesla’s Model S electric sedan.
“I love my Tesla,” said Model S owner Carvell Yeggie. “It’s fast and looks great, but something was missing; that’s when I realized it needed some pipes. Well, maybe not needed, but it looks cool, don’t you think?”

Yes, we do. And apparently, Borla thinks so, too. “It really finishes off the Model S,” exclaimed Borla spokesperson Fawn Spitz. “And we’re very proud to be the first company to produce a nonfunctional aftermarket exhaust system for an electric car,” she intoned.
According to Spitz, Borla spent nearly six months engineering the new Muted Rumble system. “Coming up with the innovative ‘0-into-4’ layout was a real challenge for the team, but it definitely turned out great,” she gushed.
Borla is also reportedly hard at work on a chromed water-dribbling nipple for the Toyota Mirai hydrogen-powered car.
