It’s Not Just Airbags — Now Takata’s Trash Bags Are Exploding
Takata, the Japanese corporation at the center of a massive vehicle airbag recall, is now facing another problem — exploding trash bags.
41-year old Bynum Malario of Loovis Chute got all sooty and lost his eyebrows after his Takata trash bag exploded
“It appears to be limited to Takata’s 33-gallon orange bag with drawstrings,” said product safety expert Button Lopez. “But when it blows, it really blows.”
No serious injuries have been reported, although a 41-year old Loovis Chute resident got all sooty and lost both eyebrows when the bag he was placing in the garbage can exploded.
