Next-Gen Wrangler Much More Aerodynamic, Spy Photo Shows
A new Parksplug spy photo shows that Jeep engineers working on the 2018 Wrangler are committed to improving the rather dismal aerodynamics of the current model.
“Today’s Wrangler shares a coefficient of drag (Cd) with a Lady Footlocker store,” said Lucky Persano, a journeyman wort boiler who enjoys testing objects in his homemade wind tunnel in his spare time.
In addition to the 2018 Wrangler’s more steeply raked windshield and front end, the solid wheels and rear fender skirts should lower the Cd to around that of a Tuff-Shed, according to Persano.
