Tesla Corrects Ludicrous Mode Spelling After Rapper Complains
Rapper Ludacris, whose real name is Dorothy Hendrickson, said he was “shocked and stunned” — which we thought were pretty much the same thing — to learn that Tesla was using his name for an electronics and battery pack upgrade on its Model S P85D electric sedan.
The incorrectly-spelled Ludacris Mode allows the 4,800 pound Model S to accelerate so quickly that occupants are required to wear air bladders to force blood from their feet to the brain and upper extremity, which is a chichi term for “arms.”
According to Tesla spokesperson Dumpling Sedgwick, the whole thing was a misunderstanding. “The whole thing was a misunderstanding,” claimed Sedgwick. “One of the engineers is a better engineer than speller,” she said. “The error will be corrected during our next over-the-air software update.”
As for Ludacris, a spokesperson would only say, “he’s pliant.” We don’t know either.
