Sonic Forces Lamborghini Side Window Redesign

Sonic, the restaurant company that bills itself as “America’s Drive-In,” is claiming victory today after Lamborghini agreed to change the design of its cars’ doors and windows to accommodate Sonic’s plastic trays.

Sonic argued that Lamborghini's window design was not compatible with its plastic trays, so Lamborghini agreed to redesign the door and window

Sonic claimed Lamborghini’s window design was not compatible with the restaurant’s plastic trays, which caused what Sonic refers to as “comestible spillage.”

“It was a nightmare,” said Sonic spokesman H. Vac Leek.  “Our plastic trays wouldn’t work because of the design of Lamborghini’s windows, so all the food would just dump on the ground.”

Last month, Sonic sent a team of four carhops to the automaker’s headquarters in Sant’ Agata to work with Lamborghini’s design staff.  The result is a modified window shape that will debut on the 2017 Huracán.

“All this swoopy stuff and fancy flip-up door crap just doesn”t work for us,” said Sonic’s Leek.  “Fortunately, it worked out well.  After all, Lambo drivers are passionate about their Sonic burgers!” he chirped as he adjusted his paper hat.
