Supreme Court Justices Fight Over Scalia’s Parking Space
Talk about a family feud. Bickering among the seven remaining associate U.S. Supreme Court justices over who will get the late Antonin Scalia’s parking space behind the Supreme Court building has escalated to the point that they’re barely speaking and have resorted to blocking in one another’s vehicles, said an anonymous court worker.
“It’s a mess,” said the employee. “Somebody even keyed Sotomayor’s Subaru the other day. Personally, I think it was Ruth Bader Ginsburg,” he whispered, adding, “but I have no proof.”
“(Chief Justice) Roberts needs to do something,” said the source. “Just the other day, Anthony Kennedy boxed in Clarence Thomas’ Lexus with his pickup all night long. Thomas was pissed because he had to sleep on a foldout cot in his office, so he let the air out of Kennedy’s tires.”
Chief Justice John Roberts, however, has declined to take immediate action, saying he wants to wait until a new associate justice is confirmed before making a decision as to whom the parking space will be assigned. “We need to hear from the American people first,” he stated.
