Apple CEO Locks Himself Out of Car; Police Refuse to Help Open It
Local police told Apple CEO Tim Cook they were unable to help after he locked himself out of his BMW outside an upscale lacto-vegetarian restaurant on Sunday.
“We just had a lovely dinner of blanched chickpeas over semi-dwarf Sherpa rice, and when we got back to the car, I realized we were locked out,” Cook explained during a FaceTime conversation with Parksplug.
Although the Apple CEO called police, an officer explained that they would be unable to assist him. “If we gained access to your vehicle and someone else learned how we did it, everybody’s car would be at risk,” said the officer.
Cook eventually used his Apple Watch to order an Uber ride, after which police ticketed his BMW for overtime parking.
