Ram to Offer World’s First “Bendy-Truck”
Responding to complaints that heavy-duty, long-wheelbase pickups are difficult to maneuver around town and in confined areas, Ram has announced it will introduce the industry’s first articulated truck, calling it the Pivot Cab.
Long a feature seen primarily on buses and streetcars, the hinged rear section will be available on Ram’s 2500 and 3500 single and dual rear wheel models.
When asked how the driveshaft connects to the rear wheels, Ram drivetrain engineer Pigeon Sykes appeared stunned, then uttered, “Oh crap!” and hastily left the room.
