Something Else to Worry About: Beavers Are Eating Morgans!

Although Morgan cars have, for more than 100 years, been constructed with a wooden frame, beavers, termites and other wood-devouring pests have shown little interest in munching on the low volume British roadsters.  Until now.  And scientists say the loss of millions of trees to drought is to blame.

“I went to an ear candling session and when I came back out, there was a pile of sawdust under my Morgan.  Damn beavers ate my frame,” sniffed 38-year-old Plus 4 owner Porferio Nodvomit, who still can’t talk about the incident without crying and blowing his nose on his shirt sleeve.  “I saw two beavers running across the parking lot toward the creek.  It cost me $2,700 to fix,” said Nodvomit, adding, “I hate beavers.”

Rogaine Wippler, the owner of Morgans, Morgans, Morgans, an auto repair shop specializing in — you guessed it…Morgans — said he’s been getting more than a dozen calls per week from owners of beaver-damaged cars.  “I even heard of one beaver trying to chew the fake wood off the side of an old Ford Country Squire.”
