New Driving School to Provide Manual Transmission Training for Carjackers

shiftDeclaring that thousands of carjackers find it difficult to make a living because of their inability to drive a manual transmission, the operators of a new driver training school say they will soon provide such instruction.

“Many carjackers find it difficult to make a decent living because they can only drive an automatic,” said Bushrod O’Dear, the manager of Tri-Pedal Driving School.  “With our training, they can learn a new skill and therefore become more successful.”

According to the website www.wtf-is-this-left-pedal-for.com, just 6.5% of vehicles sold in the U.S. last year were equipped with a manual transmission.

“Yes, it’s a small percentage,” acknowledged O’Dear.  “But some of those cars, like the Mustang GT-350R, Dodge Viper, or maybe a Boxster, are the ones carjackers would really like to take, but right now they can’t because they can’t drive them.”

O’Dear said the course will provide carjackers with classroom instruction, plus eight hours of behind-the-wheel training in the school’s manual-equipped Kia Forte, which, according to O’Dear, is equipped with a hidden kill switch to keep clients from stealing it.
