Mannheim Steamroller Finally Updates Its Name
Mannheim Steamroller, the American musical group known for their popular Christmas albums and CDs, has changed its name just in time for the 2016 holiday season.
“Steamrollers really haven’t been around since the 50’s,” explained Rectus Magnin, the group’s director and a highly-regarded master of the Fustian Dronepipe. “We have a new CD coming out this Christmas and we thought it was a good time to update our name to Mannheim Vibratory Steel Drum Compactor.”
Magnin assured us that the group’s music style will continue to combine classical, light jazz, lots of little dinging noises and the ever-popular sand flute.
