After Paying Millions For Name, Samsung’s Galaxy SUV Goes Up In Flames
Weeks before Samsung was scheduled to release the Galaxy, its battery-powered SUV designed for the North American market, it appears the electronics giant has scuttled the project after dozens of test vehicles caught fire.
In addition to the hundreds of millions of dollars the Korean automaker spent to develop the Galaxy, the company also paid Ford a reported $40-million along with 100 cases of Dong Dong Ju for the Galaxy name.
When we called Samsung spokesman Yorko Cory about the story, he replied, “ugwen to mah frisen bubbies.” He later called back to apologize, explaining he had over-imbibed on Dong Dong Ju.
