Crash Test Experts Arrested After Brawl Breaks Out at Traffic Safety Conference
Police had to be called after a fight broke out among attendees of a vehicle crash safety conference near downtown LaJunta yesterday.
Police spokesperson Bobolink Godwin said experts from the Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) exchanged blows during an argument about partial offset frontal crash tests.
Godwin said the problems appeared to be alcohol-related. “One intoxicated guy was punched by another drunk guy after he made a derogatory remark about a female crash test dummy.”
