L.A. Auto Show Attendance Plummets After Weatherman Forecasts Party Cloudy Conditions
“Everyone in the Los Angeles area is hunkered down and keeping an eye on the weather.”
Hopes for big crowds for the final weekend of the Los Angeles Auto Show were dashed yesterday after a local television meteorologist issued a “partly cloudy” weather warning and urged residents to stay indoors.

“Our NexRad radar picked up a band of altostimulus clouds moving into the area,” explained weatherman Beam Katz, a part-time actor best known for his recurring role as a handsome yet narcoleptic anesthesiologist on Grey’s Anatomy. “People here just aren’t accustomed to such severe weather conditions.”
Auto show organizers said they were disappointed but acknowledged public safety is top priority.
“We moved several vehicles inside to protect them from the clouds, including the 2017 Fiat 124 convertible,” said auto show spokesman and actor Zane Vacío. It’s better to be safe than…wait, how does that saying go again?”
Two dozen Red Cross volunteers skipped acting auditions to help set up Sleep Number cots and a Starbucks kiosk at the auto show in case attendees were forced to shelter in place.
