Calendar to Change to Match Vehicle Model Years
With some 2017 vehicles already cooling their wheels on dealership lots, it’s easy to forget that we’re not even halfway through 2016.
To alleviate the confusion between the calendar year and vehicle model years, the World Timetable Foundation (WTF) has proclaimed that, starting this Monday, the calendar year will change to 2017 in order to coincide with vehicle model years.
“Everything is screwed up,” explained WTF spokesperson Biloxi Ferragamo. “People are all confused because there are already some 2017 vehicles on the market,” so we said, you know what…screw it, let’s just go ahead and make it 2017 now instead of waiting until January.”
“The good thing is, if you’re waiting for, say, the 2018 Civic Type R, now you only have to wait a year instead of two years. Isn’t that great?” squealed Ferragamo while furiously clapping her hands.
