First Photo: Chevrolet Traverse Nomad!
If you mention the name Nomad, any car enthusiast will immediately think of the stylish 1955 – 1957 two-door Chevy station wagon. Well, all except for one guy from Crivitz Park who thought of the 1976 Chevy Vega with the distasteful and unpopular Nomad trim package, but according to his neighbors, he hasn’t been right since being stung by a colony of harvester ants back in ’81.

But now Nomad fans have reason to rejoice; At a news conference yesterday, Chevrolet unveiled its 2017 Traverse Nomad, a sporty two-door version of its large crossover.
According to Parksplug photographer Fidget McChuck, all the characteristic Nomad cues are present, from the vertical chrome tailgate strips to the two-tone paint, and even some rusted-out sheetmetal below the forward-leaning B pillars.
The Nomad is powered by the same 3.6 liter V-6 as the standard Traverse, although a bright exhaust tip is included.

At the same news conference, Chevrolet officials announced this surprising news. “We don’t pronounce alphabet “alpha-bay” do we?” marketing manager Harkiss Seavers asked the crowd, pretty much all of whom — except for Fidget McChuck — had left by that time.
