President-elect Donald Trump today announced his choice to lead the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency: Former Volkswagen CEO Martin Winterkorn, who was fired following the “Dieselgate” emissions scandal.

“I’ve known Marty for years,” said Trump, adding, “He has nice hair.”

Trump also said he believes Winterkorn knew nothing about the emissions scandal.  “It could have been anybody, the Russians, the Chinese…or some fat guy sitting on his bed.”
