Honda Employee Who Designed Backwards Ridgeline Not Allowed Back in the Country
Sunshine Wardle, the Ohio-based Honda designer who proposed reversing the next-generation Ridgeline’s body to “create some excitement,” will not be allowed back in the US, sources say.
Wardle presented her unusual design — which placed the bed at the front of the truck and the cab to the rear — to Honda executives a day before leaving for vacation on Mou Waho Island in New Zealand.
“We were so appalled by her design that, as soon as she left the country, we got ahold of the Trump administration and requested that she not be allowed to return,” explained Honda spokesman Toth Frick. “We showed them the sketch and they agreed immediately.”
“I don’t think there will be any court fight over this one,” said Toth, adding, although New Zealand is pretty pissed.”
