Mid-Engine Corvette to Feature Rumble Seat Option

The rumble seat disappeared from American-made cars after the late 1930’s, but it’s about to make a comeback; Chevrolet engineers have incorporated the folding, open-air two-passenger seat to the design of the 2020 mid-engine Corvette.

Parksplug reporter Astro Latrell seemed to enjoy his ride in the rumble seat.

“It’s really fun to sit back there and feel the wind in your eyebrows,” said completely bald Corvette engineer Stevie Dan Dupree.

Parksplug correspondent Astro Latrell, who sat in the Vette’s rumble seat during a fast lap around the Acme Hat Raceway, was stung on the tongue by some sort of insect and was unable to speak, but used a crayon to scrawl “ahsum” on his pant leg.
